Patricia Gray Inc is honoured to have participated along with Linda Sale Interior Design in their 3rd Annual “Home for the Holidays” fundraising initiative benefiting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice at Sutton Place Hotel. This festive fundraising initiative partnered with local Vancouver businesses to create signature trees that are showcased in the lobby of The Sutton Place Hotel for the month of December. Please drop by and feast your eyes on the beautiful trees and cast your vote for your favourite. Thank-you to everyone who voted for their favourite tree and helped us raise proceeds for this important cause.
The tree is decorated with handmade Canuck Jerseys for each team member, and Gingerbread Cookies to represent the Children of the World dressed in their native costumes with each holding the flag of their Country. foster + partners' designs for the 'zayed national museum' in abu dhabi was revealed by
his highness sheikh mohammed bin rashid al maktoum, vice-president and prime minister
of the UAE and ruler of dubai and her majesty queen elizabeth II of the united kingdom.
conceived as a monumnet and memorial to the late sheikh zayed bin sultan al nahyan,
the founding president of the UAE, the museum will be the centrepiece of the saadiyat
island cultural district and will showcase the history, culture and more recently the social

this first maison martin margiela store opened in tokyo in 2000. located in the ebisu area of the city,
the former residence incorporates the offices and sales rooms of kokonoe corp ltd.,
(the joint venture company in charge of the mason martin marginal brand in japan),
as well as a store on the ground floor. in february 2006, the store mores to another location in a former
electrical products factory building, still in the ebisu area. 'a wardrobe for men' by martin margiela

The office romances, the flirting at the photocopier, the disciplinary action
after the Christmas party… For a place so fraught with love and lust the
office is quite a dull place to look at - corporate sponsored mugs, tastefully
chosen comedy calendar and passive aggressive notes about borrowing
other peoples stationery all add up to ruin the romance of a day at work.

I usually do not read these types of emails when I receive them other than from my Dad, as he always forwards me the Best of the Best. It made me smile and feel good, for our little furry friends really do give so much to us. I hope that it will put a smile on your face also!

A Dog's Purpose? (From a 6-year-old).
Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.
As we made arrangements Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker’s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes Belker slipped peacefully away.
The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly piped up ''I know why.''
Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try to live.
He said “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?''
The Six-year-old continued “Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.''

KiBiSi has designed the Brick series for Versus. The series consists of a puf, a chair, a two and three seater. KiBiSi set out to make a sofa with strong architectural references since KiBiSi partner Bjarke Ingels couldn’t really find the right architect’s sofa for his apartment. The point of departure was a classic brick bond forming the cushion pattern. The cushions are tied together and fixed with a tailor quality button. The button, also designed by KiBiSi, is molded of fiber concrete – Yet another architectural reference.Brick

Each model's clothing in the series was made entirely of real food and depicts a meal that the person was craving. This project was shot in January of 2009 (pre Lady Gaga). 15 designers, led by Ami Goodheart of SOTO Productions, were involved and each garment took hours to cook, create and assemble. The artichoke gown was designed by Daniel Feld and Wesley Nault of Project Runway fame. It took over 6 hours to finish (the model stood the entire time while they attached each, individual leaf).

They have improved not only the car’s appearance, but also its perfomance. The engine’s output has been increased by 10%, obtaining a total of 627bhp and a peak torque of 567Nm. First Snowfall in Vancouver

We had our first snow fall in the City last night. I woke up to extreme quiet and looked outside to a winter wonderland. It is unusual for us to have snow this early in the season if at all downtown……so if this keeps up we will have fantastic ski conditions in Whistler!
